Our company’s main activity is adult vocational training, as well as expert-level development of curricula and teaching materials based on individual, institutional, corporate, governmental and community requests. When we established our business, Education and Expertise Ltd. Partnership (Oktatási és Szakértő Bt.) in 1996 our main goal was to prepare the teaching staff of public educational institutions for the following tasks:

  • to develop local curricula and pedagogical programs,
  • to assess training needs, in addition to provide expert assistance and guidance with tenders submitted by various institutions, businesses and city governments in need for extra training and retraining,
  • to edit local curricula and educational and pedagogical programs based on requests from settlement governments (approx. 90 institutional programs in 60 settlements).
  • to create and measure alternative pedagogies and local curricular and pedagogical programs in the fields of evaluation, change-management and interpretation of rules and regulations. Our regional meetings, conferences and other related events, organized for local kindergartens and primary schools, and supported by the local governments, were frequently held in a number of Hungarian counties.

The specialized activity of our adult education organization has been ongoing for the last 18 years. Although we offered courses in pedagogy and special education from the very beginning, it is for the last 10 years that we have especially focused on providing courses in line with the National Qualifications Register (NQR). We have so far trained and qualified 3000 persons.

Apart from the pedagogical training and accredited continuing education programs, most of the courses we offered were grouped around higher lever NQR social and medical trainings. In addition, to satisfy the requests of the Hungarian National Institution for Public Education and Services (OKSZI), the National Institute for Vocational and Adult Education (NSZFI), the Employment Offices and individual employers, we developed and organized different programs, as well. Among these were career guidance, competence development training for the handicapped, institutional protocol, bank clerk training, and studies of concrete technology and packaging technology for businesses.

Our company has become increasingly well known and has gained an excellent reputation over the years on the basis of high quality work. By the year 2014 we had trained approximately 12 000 applicants, with a final grade average of 4,5 (on a scale of 1 to 5, 5 being the best). 24 of the offered courses were advanced level courses and 10 of them were intermediate level courses, each for applicants with high-school diplomas. Another 10 of them were secondary training courses for qualifications accredited by the NQR.

We have participated in nearly all major public educational projects, and half of our training courses were financed by European Union government resources.

Over the past year, via the adult education licensing procedure in force, we registered those of our educational programs that were either launched or competed for in the course of public procurement or as a response to the call of the Social Renewal Operational Programme (TÁMOP).

STAFF

Full-time staff usually 9-12 persons

Their educational level:
teacher, andrologist, government clerk (town clerk), sociologist, economist, engineer, auditor.

Staff with entrustment contracts or other employment contracts: 120 persons according to company records.

The training managers ensure that there are at least 4-6 graduate professionals available in ”each training group”.

Out of the 120 persons, between 20 and 30 are regularly employed consultants, professional advisors and course leaders

with the following qualifications:

  • doctor: 2- 3 persons,- one of them being an emergency physician
  • medical trainer: 1 person
  • medical seminar leader: 1 person
  • humanities – educational curriculum developing manager and chemistry teacher: 1 person
  • humanities and communication teacher, socio-education teacher: 1 person
  • special education teacher: 1-2 persons
  • mechanical engineer, metallurgical engineer (quality control specialization), economist: 2 persons
  • mechanical and chemical engineer (PhD): 1 person
  • economic engineer: 1-2 persons
  • chemistry teacher and administrative college graduate: 1 person
  • lawyer: 2 persons (one of them with child protective services specialization)
  • psychologist/psychology teacher: 2 persons
  • therapist, trainer, mental health staff: 4 persons
  • paramedic (first aid) and catastrophe relief (fire and asset protection) with college degrees: 3-4 persons
  • auditor (one of them with a PhD) and chartered accountant: 1-2 persons
  • catering, catering manager, graduate dietician: 2-3 persons
  • occupational health and environment protection: 2 persons
  • agriculture, tourism: 1 person
  • English language teacher: 1-2 persons (depending on the type of groups)

When selecting our adult education trainers we make sure that:

  • 5 or 6 qualified persons are available in each field of expertise in order to be able to start parallel courses and to provide professional substitutes if necessary.
  • our instructors are up-to-date in their knowledge and experience, for which reason we insist that they themselves attend further education courses, organized by their full-time work place or by our institution, at least every other year.
  • one third of our instructors have obtained national level adult education expert mandates and/or exam board or exam board director mandates.
