An ambulance care assistant works int he field of medical emergency service sas a member of a team (under the supervision of a physician or a paramedic), and also takes part independently in rescue and care of patients. He/She provides emergency medical services in case of rescue, of standby for rescue, of escorted transporting of patients, at places of emergency, or during transporting patients and takes care of them.
As a member of an operating team, he/she takes emergency calls, evaluates them and organizes rescue of patients.
